About Make It Make Cents
Make It Make Cents is a free financial-literacy classroom activity product powered by Lyfe Course.
Student Information
Make It Make Cents does not require students to create accounts and does not ask students for names, email addresses, student IDs, or phone numbers.
Gameplay Information
The product uses browser storage to remember limited local progress, including played-game and streak information, the most recent completion date, Daily Question completion, and the Analytics preference. This information stays in the browser unless the visitor clears browser data.
Individual puzzle guesses, fill-in responses, Connections selections, and Daily Question thoughts are not sent to Google Analytics.
Google Analytics
With the visitor’s permission, Make It Make Cents may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate product usage. Analytics is not initialized until the visitor selects “Allow analytics.”
Make It Make Cents does not intentionally send Google Analytics student names, email addresses, individual answers, puzzle guesses, classroom identifiers, or school identifiers.
Google Analytics may collect ordinary website and device information according to Google’s service, such as browser or device information, general site activity, session information, and approximate geography where applicable.
Advertising
Make It Make Cents does not currently use student gameplay activity for targeted advertising. The browser application does not load Meta Pixel or Google Ads conversion tracking.
Lyfe Course
Some links direct visitors to the Lyfe Course website. Lyfe Course may have its own privacy practices for activity that occurs on that website.
Service Providers
Make It Make Cents uses Google Firebase to host and operate the product and deliver daily content. Optional Google Analytics helps measure aggregate usage after consent. The interface also loads fonts and front-end libraries through content delivery networks.
Data Security
Make It Make Cents uses technical safeguards designed to protect the service and minimize the student information collected.
Children’s Privacy
Make It Make Cents is designed primarily for high-school classroom use. Schools and educators should use Make It Make Cents consistent with their own student-privacy requirements and policies.
